Speller - Free Spell Checker App Reviews

As a poor speller and consultant for those with disabilities this is a nice little add on for the iPhone or itouch. The word finding feature is not terrific as you are typing the word, but the word is usually found if you type the entire thing in misspelled. Im not sure that the google feature is working as intended, as I only get a blank search page when I click on the word. A bug perhaps?

Great promise.. Of course it would work as a dictionary - but I could not figure out how to have it work as I composed an email. Help wanted.

Just a Positive feedback... Get rid of the google part and just add dictionary with it...that way you can still use it without Internet...Otherwise it defeats the purpose of using the app..why just go straight to safari and save more time.

Well it would be really nice if you guys could add some more languages to the app in the next upgrade. Except, its a great app and pls, its free!

Load bulit-in dictionary instead of Google.

Very good app, especially in imprtant occasions!

It automatically closes after 5 seconds. I deleted it and reloaded it, but still doesnt work.

Its fee, it works... so delete if you do not like it and move on with your life.

Great when it works... It asks you be online (3G or wifi) when you are on line. Quite annoying.

Personally I think that this app is great its very useful and I dont have any problems with it. I dont have a problem with it going to Google for definitions since I use it for spelling hence the name "SPELLER" and I use it on my iPhone so if I do want a definition it does not matter cause I have a data plan. although I do think it would be a good idea for us to have the option to download the dictionary, but it should be an in app download because people with less memory probably dont want to load an entire dictionary. Although I am a programmer I have never never made an app for for any phone but I know how annoying trying to incorporate a dictionary in to a program is. What I have done in this situation is search "dictionary script for (insert programming language here)" then you can download a script file and incorporate it into your app

Sometime I spell the word correctly and its telling me its wrong... example (construction)

Needs to support the iPhone 5 screen! please update it for iPhone 5 support!

It easier to just use Siri and ask her to look up the spelling.

I cant even type one letter and the app instantly closes!

Can someone please change the update back to the way it was?? Its just that I prefer it when I could just type in the word and then it would automatically go to google and say "define (blank)". Now I actually have to type that in myself. The purpose of this app was for me to be able to quickly get the definitions of words, but now it takes me even more time to find the words than to just actually go on google and ask for the definition myself. I also dont like how there are three options for Wikipedia and some other random thing ( it shows a picture of books). It is very confusing. It takes me 10 times more time to get definitions and synonyms for the words. Can someone please change it back. I really need this app, but I dont like how it is anymore. I would appreciate it so much. :)

My daughter really likes this app. She uses it all the time. It works as advertised....no glitches, or hiccups. It helps to improve your spelling and gives you access to google and Wikipedia for more info on the work. YOU NEED THIS APP!!

Love it, it works really well and its extremely easy to use.
